Grow your digital services company

Hutch is an intensive 24-month program that gives entrepreneurs a blueprint for building successful digital service firms, by empowering them with the tools, mentorship, and peer support they need to have a lasting impact.

What’s a Hutch?

Hutches are used by dairy farmers to house newborn calves individually so that they can be given hands-on care during the first stage of their life.
With Hutch, Fearless gives that same level of individualized support to young Baltimore businesses.

We think of this program kind of like a home-base for our entrepreneurs, providing them with a foundation of support so they can grow without getting lost amongst bigger companies in the industry. And because we cap each year’s cohort at just 10 attendees, we’re able to really get to know each business and their needs, providing individualized guidance.

93% of large-scale Gov IT Projects Fail Costing Billions Annually

One of the biggest problems new business owners face is just figuring out where to start. How do you put together a financial plan? What infrastructure do you need to put in place and when? These kind of organizational questions might seem a bit in the weeds, but they’re crucial. And they can make or break a business.

Why we’re Invested.

Over the past 10 years, Fearless has grown from a company of one employee, to one that supports 160+ direct jobs.

We were lucky enough to be accepted into the DoD Mentor Protégé program early in our growth, and we don’t take this or other informal mentorships we had along the way for granted. That’s why we launched Hutch in January 2019: to invest in growing Baltimore civic tech businesses.

Looking back, there’s a pretty clear roadmap for how we made Fearless a success. We’ve compiled tools, resources, and lessons learned from every stage in our growth, and we want to use this experience to empower and build up Baltimore’s entrepreneurial digital services community.

Start the year with an idea,
End the year with revenue.

We will help you go from 0 to 60 in twelve months.

Intensive and
Interactive Classes

Hutch meets once a month for day-long sessions on everything from brand to leadership to financial planning. Each session is designed to be fun, interactive, and engaging, and we will bring in subject matter experts to provide tailored guidance on each topic.

1-on-1 Mentoring

We’re not going to let you fall behind. The class is intense, and we expect 110% commitment, but it works. We’ll be coaching you and checking in with you every step of the way, to guide you through the roadblocks and obstacles that will come up.

Lasting Relationships

You will be in a small curated group of like-minded business owners, growing and supporting each other. These early business relationships will be valuable long past your time at Hutch.
Fearless is always looking for good partners, so we are excited to build a long-term relationship with your company as well.
